The Vitiligo Society Of Kenya today celebrated the world vitiligo day at Charter Hall in Nairobi. The day is aimed at raising awareness on the autoimmune disorder that causes loss of skin pigmentation and lighter patches on the skin. The day was marked with a march around Nairobi CBD and free medical screening, cosmetology and psychotherapy services aimed at raising awareness on the skin disease. This years celebrations themed shades of strength aimed to highlight the importance of inclusion, awareness and empowerment of people living with vitiligo. The celebrations which were set for the 25th were postponed because of protests.
