Shirika la Habari la Reuters liliweza kuthibitisha eneo hilo kuwa ni Rastan, mji ulioko takriban kilomita 20 kaskazini mwa Homs, kutokana na mpangilio wa mitaa, majengo, mnara wa msikiti na mnara wa saa unaonekana kutoka mbali unaofanana na picha za satalaiti na picha za kumbukumbu. Reuters haikuweza kuthibitisha tarehe maalum video hiyo ilichukuliwa, lakini Kikundi kinachofuatilia haki za binadamu Syria kimeripoti kuwa mji huo ulichukuliwa na waasi Ijumaa (Desemba 6).
