A somber mood enveloped the Lang'ata cemetery in Nairobi as family, relatives, friends, and fellow players gathered for the burial of Kenya's volleyball legend Janet Wanja.
Janet Wanja, the renowned former volleyball player and national team member, who was respected both locally and internationally was laid to rest at Langata cemetry. Wanja passed away at the age of 40 after a battle with cancer. Family members and volleyball fans shared how much they would miss her dedication and commitment to the sport in Kenya. Wanja was laid to rest in a private funeral service attended by invited guests.
