People’s Liberation Party leader Martha Karua has returned to Kenya after being detained for hours at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam. Karua, along with lawyers Gloria Kimania and Lynn Ngugi, was in Tanzania to attend a regional legal conference hosted by the East Africa Law Society. She claims their deportation was linked to their interest in the political case against Tanzanian opposition leader Tundu Lissu.
