A road safety campaign aimed at equipping bodaboda operators with essential riding skills kicked off in Malindi Town.
Speaking at the launch in Malindi, Malindi member of Parliament, Amina Mnyazi, issued scholarships to unlicensed riders to pursue riding courses. She expressed concerns over the high number of operators lacking proper training and riding licenses. The first batch of 500 beneficiaries will receive scholarships under the Malindi National Government Constituency Development Fund in partnership with a Driving School, which was celebrating its 50th anniversary.
