The Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) has raised red flag over an increase in quacks in the sector raising safety questions in the industry. According to EIK President Engineer Shammah Kiteme, the institute has no say in policy decisions involving capital intensive projects in the country. EIK saying there needs to be a convergence on policy implementation by all players in the sector to ensure integrity in the sector is not compromised. They spoke during the first Women Engineers Convention at Sawela Lodge in Naivasha.
