Medical services in public hospitals in Kilifi County could be paralyzed from midnight, following the lapse of a strike notice issued by the Kenya Union of Clinical Officers in the County. The clinicians who issued their 7-day strike notice on Thursday, May 29, 2025, say the move was prompted by the county governments’ failure to implement their 2024 return to work agreement, with efforts to have a dialogue with county officials being futile.
