DNA TEST RELIEF
A couple in Kiambu County, who for days were engulfed in anxiety and fear over a suspected baby swap incident, are all smiles and breathing a sigh of relief after final reports confirmed that the baby girl indeed belongs to them. Speaking at Kiambu Level 5 hospital, Medical Superintendent Dr. Peninah Mwikali confirmed the couple had been subjected to DNA testing after they questioned the gender of the baby, following incorrect information earlier relayed to the husband at the time of delivery. Dr. Mwikali says the investigations are now officially closed, and both mother and child are in stable condition. The case had attracted public attention after the two raised an alarm that their child may have been swapped at birth at the hospital.
