KENYA LOSES KSH 800B ANNUALLY TO COUNTERFEIT GOODS

Kenya is losing an estimated KSh 800 billion each year to counterfeit goods, with alcohol being the most affected. A report by the Anti-Counterfeit Authority shows the National Treasury loses KSh 150 billion in tax revenue. It also reveals that nearly 70% of Kenyans have unknowingly purchased fake products, with China identified as the main source.
