The Central Bank of Kenya will extend the operating hours of the Kenya Electronic Payment and Settlement System, KEPSS, starting July 1st, this year. This system is used to process large and urgent money transfers between banks in real time. It will now operate from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays, from the current 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule.
