Mandera learner enrolment doubles after county Gov’t launches free education

The enrolment of learners in Mandera county has doubled after the county government introduced free education in all public schools. The enrolment has increased by 70% since the introduction of Elimu kwa Wote initiative 3 years ago. Through the initiative, learners in Secondary schools pay zero school fees while those in colleges pay half of the required fees.
