The National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK) has accused the government of mishandling national affairs and turning Kenya into a police state. In a strong statement, NCCK cited rising cases of abductions targeting critics and police brutality during recent protests. The council also raised concerns over alleged plans to rig the 2027 elections, criticising President Ruto for gazetting IEBC nominees despite a court order.
