Two brothers were among 8 people who died in an accident at Kijauri in Nyansiongo. Their spouses and a neighbour escaped a grim fate by having left the vehicle they were in, to shop for foodstuff at the roadside market. Several families have been thrown into mourning following the tragic accident which left more than 14 people admitted in various facilities in Nyamira and Kisii. The friday evening accident has sparked outrage among residents in borabu who demand quick intervention to curb regular deaths along the busy highway.
