Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen has sounded a warning to people suspected of trading in illegal firearms across the porous Uganda-Kenya border straddling West Pokot and Turkana Counties. The firearms, Mukomen says, are the main cause of recurring cases of banditry and cattle rustling in the North Rift. Separately, 16 immigrants from Uganda are in police custody for allegedly abducting and killing a juvenile for organ harvesting purposes. The investigations are ongoing. Giverson Maina reports.
