KBC Pension scheme has petitioned parliament to lobby the executive to approve the surrender of some of the corporation's parcels of land to settle the 3.2billion shillings debt owed to pensioners in unpaid remittances. Trustees of the scheme, while appearing before the National Assembly ICT committee, said KBC’s board had approved the transfer of land and the matter was now with its parent ministry. The trustees also invited the legislators to investigate how former trustees irregularly procured legal services that could cost the scheme over 1.4Billion shillings.
