Human rights defenders, legal experts and refugee-led organisations are calling on the government to support an ongoing refugee documentation campaign to ensure systemic issues that continue to affect refugees in Kenya are addressed. The clarion call was made during a consultative forum held in Nairobi. The forum expressed concerns that bureaucracy remains a major obstacle in refugees' access to documentation, leading to delays, difficulties in obtaining necessary permits and hindering their ability to integrate into society.
