National Treasury and Economic Planning Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi says that he was misquoted on his remarks regarding the capitation to facilitate free primary and secondary education in public schools. At the same time, Mbadi clarified that Treasury was collaborating with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission to establish if indeed over 3 billion shillings in capitation was sent to non-existent schools in the last 4 financial years, as revealed by the Auditor General.
