The Kenya National Union of Nurses and Midwives has today threatened to ground the nursing internship program should the Council of Governors fail to implement the 2017 CBA. Speaking in Kisumu, KNUMM Deputy Secretary General Maurice Opetu accused the cog of lacking goodwill in the reconciliation process that saw them suspend their strike for 30 days in July. Opetu further asked Health CS Aden Duale to reconsider the revocation of the 306 posting of nursing interns who were reportedly found to have been posted irregularly. Opetu argued that some of those affected were due for a posting, calling for wider consultation within the technical team.
