El-Fasher, in the Darfur region, has been surrounded by the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces for 15 months, cut off from the world. The BBC has obtained rare footage from inside the besieged city, showing people gathering at one of the last remaining emergency kitchens to eat food intended for animals. People trapped in el-Fasher have told us they fear their children will die of starvation. The UN has warned about the scale of the hunger hunger crisis in el-Fasher, and about the rapid spread of cholera in nearby Tawila, a town to which tens of thousands of civilians have fled and where they now live in makeshift camps. 🎤 Barbara Plett Usher 🎬 🎞️ Ken Mungai Subscribe: http://bit.ly/subscribetoafrica Website: https://www.bbc.com/africa Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bbcnewsafrica/ Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/bbcafrica/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bbcafrica/
