MPs clash with Ruto over extortion claims, demand evidence

Members of parliament who have come under sharp criticism from the executive over alleged extortion claims have hit back, demanding that House speakers summon President William Ruto to provide evidence over the allegations. The MPs who held a session in the national assembly to discuss the president's sentiments say it will not be business as usual with the executive going forward. The legislators fought back even as National Assembly speaker Moses Wetangula admitted receiving complaints against some of the MPs’ conduct.
