The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has approved the arrest and prosecution of Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok, former Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati, and Webuye West MP Dan Wanyama Sitati. This follows corruption charges filed by the EACC last week. The ODPP has approved charges against Barchok, including conflict of interest, money laundering, acquisition of proceeds of crime, and unlawful acquisition of public property. Former Governor Wangamati is facing charges of conflict of interest, among other charges.
