The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has advised motorists travelling between Nairobi and Nakuru to seek alternative routes after a major traffic snarl-up hit the busy highway on Thursday night, August 28, 2025. The congestion, which began around 8:30 pm, stretched between Naivasha and Kikopey, worsened by lane indiscipline and the heavy movement of vehicles from Gilgil following a National Youth Service (NYS) pass-out parade.
