The latest report by National Syndemic Disease Control Council’s on HIV/AIDS shows that cases have jumped by 19 percent in just one year, with young people bearing the greatest brunt. Kenya’s national HIV prevalence now stands at 3 percent, representing 1.3 million people living with HIV. Nairobi leads in new infections, and the country has also recorded a rise in HIV-related deaths.
