The Government says it is taking deliberate steps to protect members of ethnic minority groups and marginalized communities, which have endured decades of exclusion. Speaking on Tuesday during the validation workshop for the draft policy on ethnic minorities and marginalized communities in Nairobi, Gender, Culture, and Children Services Cabinet Secretary Hannah Cheptumo promised inclusion of the communities in critical decision-making as part of efforts to end discrimination against them.
