Two Mbeere North voters move to court to challenge Wa Muthende's election

Two voters in Mbeere North Embu County have petitioned the Embu High Court to overturn the election of Leonard Wamuthende as area member of Parliament. The petitioners allege that prior to the by-elections on Thursday, November 27, 2025, Wamuthende had changed his identity to Leo Wa Muthende Njeru from Leonard Muriuki Njeru but the change was not captured in the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission’s register.
