Heart patients across the country are set to receive faster, safer and more affordable treatment following the launch of a new cardiac catheterisation laboratory at Avenue Hospital in Nairobi. Health officials note that for years, many Kenyans living with hypertension, stroke and heart failure have faced late diagnoses, long referral chains and the heavy financial burden of seeking treatment abroad. With cardiovascular diseases continuing to rise, nearly one in four adults now lives with high blood pressure, making timely intervention increasingly urgent.
