Tension is high in Ombolion area, Kases sub-location in Pokot North along the West Pokot - Turkana border, after one person was shot and killed by suspected bandits. According to Ombolion area’s Chief Joseph Korkimul, the deceased, identified as 31-year-old Komole Siwa was shot dead while herding his livestock. Korkimul has called on the government to deploy more police in the area, citing increased banditry attacks.
