People’s audit report flags hunger, unemployment, and weak public services in Kenya

A new report by the institute for social accountability, dubbed the people’s audit, has flagged hunger, joblessness, and strained healthcare and education systems as critical areas that continue to suffer from little or no government funding. At the same event, auditor general Nancy Gathungu pointed to poor governance, impunity, and parliament’s failure to execute effective oversight as the root causes of Kenya’s economic capture.
