Agricultural experts in the western part of the country have challenged the government to invest more in the soil nutritional levels regeneration. Drawing experience from a decade-long soil regeneration program unde the GIZ dubbed pro soil project, they estimated the country is losing close to 170 billion shillings each year due to poor soils . The project covered Siaya, Bungoma and Kakamega Counties.
