Abducted kidney patient returns home after 9 days in captivity

A 44-year-old man who was abducted by armed men in Mombasa has been reunited with his family after nine days in captivity. Harrison Nyamu, who was abducted on Christmas Eve in his Changamwe home, spent Christmas and New Year in captivity, recounting torture and medical neglect before being released on January 2nd in the Vipingo area, Kilifi County. Human rights defenders have since condemned the act, even as they call for investigations to bring those culpable to book.
