Tribunal dismisses fresh petition against Likoni LPG plant, upholds KSh 16B project clearance

The latest legal attempt to stop the construction of the 16 billion lpg gas terminus at Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone in Likoni suffered yet another setback after the national environmental tribunal dismissed an application to appeal the court’s judgement delivered that dismissed an earlier petition seeking to halt the multi-billion-dollar project. The tribunal further struck out the petitioner’s request to be enjoined as an interested party through an appeal against the judgment delivered on 31st January 2024.
