Rotich was laid to rest at his rural home in Koiser village, Barwesa Ward, Baringo North Constituency with those who attended the burial condemning the killing terming it unacceptable. The leaders openly blamed police inaction and intelligence failures, arguing that criminal gangs have continued to roam freely despite repeated warnings from residents. Police have confirmed that three suspects have so far been arrested in connection with the killing. An AK-47 assault rifle, believed to have been used during the attack, was also recovered during the operation.
