Kenya red cross launches water project for Mukuru residents

    Households in informal settlements can now breathe a sigh of relief following the launch of a sustainable water initiative by the Kenya Red Cross Society. The program aims to convert contaminated water into safe, usable water for domestic use—addressing a long-standing challenge that has exposed communities to waterborne diseases. Kenya Red Cross Secretary General Mr. Ahmed Idris emphasized the urgent need to expand access to clean drinking water through innovative technology that is both affordable and easy to maintain. The flagship project in conjunction with Smart X Ecosystems was launched in Mukuru kwa Njenga, with plans to expand its reach to schools and surrounding communities
