How Vihiga County spent Khs 5 Million on Speaker's house warming party

Vihiga Governor Wilber Otichilo is on the spot after Unauthorized transaction made to the County Assembly of Vihiga where 5 Million Shillings of public monies were used for the Speakers house warming party. Appearing before the Senate County Public Accounts Committee, Otichilo was at pains to explain why the coffers meant to pay contractors for services rendered were used to throw an extravagant party at the Speaker's residence on the 15th of December 2023. As Abdiaziz Hashim now tells us, the Committee has given the governor until the close of this financial year to refund the 5 million shillings; failure to do so will forward the findings to EACC.
