Kenya has marked the International Day of Clean Energy with a renewed push to turn policy into action at the grassroots. In Kitui County, the government rolled out clean cooking devices, trained communities on renewable energy, and commissioned new electricity connections under the last-mile programme as it works towards universal access to power and clean cooking by 2030.Ben Chumba reports from Kitui.
