Opposition vows unity, pledges single candidate for 2027 polls

Leaders of parties styling themselves as the united opposition are pledging to stick together and name a joint presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 election. Speaking during the national delegates conference of the democratic party DP, the leaders also announced that they are instituting legal proceedings against perpetrators of last Sunday's attack against DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua in a church in Othaya.
