A Malindi businessman living with a disability has appealed to the government to intervene in a Sh4.86 payment dispute between him and a local nongovernmental organisation. Mr. Phineas Kasuvi, 49, has asked the authorities to compel Variable Care Society, a Malindi-based NGO that champions the rights of intersex persons, to pay him for building materials he supplied nearly one-and-a-half years ago. Mr. Phineas Kasuvi, proprietor of IPhinikas Enterprises, says his company delivered cement, iron sheets, metal bars, and nails to the organisation in June 2024, and that despite a contractual agreement that the NGO would settle the bill within 40 days after delivering the items, no payment has been made to date.
