Auditor general queries KSh10M Embu funds diversion

Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire is on the spot for reportedly diverting 10 million shillings earmarked for the construction of a county-aggregated industrial park to finance a boda boda empowerment event, attended by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki. The revelations were made following audit queries tabled at the Senate County Public Accounts Committee, with the Embu County boss admitting that she initiated the transaction under immense pressure, and promising to re-fund the kitty.
