Ruto announces PAYE tax cuts for low-earning Kenyans

President William Ruto has backed the national treasury's tax relief proposal by announcing that a total of 1.5 million employed Kenyans earning a monthly salary of less than thirty thousand shillings will be exempted from pay-as-you-earn tax. The head of state, who together with his deputy kithure kindiki hosted more than twelve thousand united democratic alliance gubernatorial, senatorial, national assembly, and member of county assembly aspirants at State House, Nairobi, said the government will clear a 300 billion shillings infrastructure pending bill to all contractors in a move aimed at transforming the country into a first-world economy.
