Traders warn nicotine ban could fuel illicit trade

Business owners are urging lawmakers to reject proposed amendments to the country’s tobacco law, warning that a ban on flavored nicotine products could inadvertently strengthen illicit trade and undermine legitimate businesses. The traders were responding to the tobacco control (amendment) bill, currently before the Senate.
