Residents of Mahena in South Sakwa Ward, Migori County are set to benefit from renewed access to water after a historic dam built in 1952 was rehabilitated by a non-governmental organization. The dam, which was unusable for decades, has now been restored to support domestic water needs as well as small-scale farming.
