TVET education principal secretary dr. Esther Muoria has dismissed claims by the Kenya union of technical and vocational education trainers (KUT-VET) that there was no consultation before the rollout of the modularization programme, noting that extensive consultations were held with all stakeholders, and an agreement was reached to improve the quality and relevance of TVET training. The programme, which focuses on practical, job-ready skills rather than theory, was roled out mid last year. The ps also noted that fees for tvet has been capped at 35,000 shillings per module, making the training accessible to many learners, clarifying that student dropout cases in TVETS are not caused by the programme as claimed by KUVET, terming such claims as misleading
