The Kenya Nutritionists and Dieticians Institute (KNDI) is warning non-trained individuals to desist from offering nutrition and dietetics services to Kenyans. KNDI CEO Dr. David Okeyo said any unlicensed or untrained person found commenting on issues of nutrition will be arrested and prosecuted for flouting the law. Dr Okeyo at the same time, challenged media houses not to host unlicensed individuals to offer nutrition advice. Dr Okeyo’s warning followed the hosting of a non-practising individual on a radio talk show who purported that Ugali was a useless meal.
