Cabinet authorizes release of Shs 4.1 billion to respond to drought

The Cabinet has authorized the release of 4.1 billion shillings in response to drought, especially in Northern Counties. Mandera, Wajir, Kwale and Kilifi counties have been categorised in an alarm Phase. The cabinet says 3.3 million people are facing acute food shortage due to the failure of the October- December short rains.
