The application by the Office of the Director of Public prosecutions to drop graft charges against Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and 9 others has been granted. The court ruled that there was no full disclosure of evidence and documentation to sustain trial in the 7.3 billion shillings corruption case. Senior principal Victor Nakumile said the DPP should have exercised due diligence to prevent abuse of the legal process before the accused could take plea.
