Election observers raise alarm over election violence

Election Observers Group led by Center for Multiparty Democracy and Mzalendo Trust under the Uchaguzi Platform, has expressed concerns over the escalating election violence and Goonism being witnessed during Political Rallies. The Civil Society Entities, which met the National Assembly Committee on Constitutional Implementation and Oversight at a stakeholders forum on 2027 election preparedness, also warned of the ongoing early campaigns by political actors, stating that it’s against the Law and denies citizens economic development.
