Court challenge filed against Nairobi-national government co-operation deal

The co-operation agreement between the national government and the Nairobi County has run into trouble with two petitioners moving to court to challenge its validity. The two petitioners, Benard Peter and Christine Gathoni want the deal quashed, arguiing that it undermines the constitutional structure of devolution. Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna wants the deal shelved, terming it illegal.
