Families living in a contested piece of land at Pindukiani village in Malindi Sub County, Malindi County are staring at possible second violent evictions after a tycoon brought bulldozers on site.
The 33 families are embroiled in a land tussle with the tycoon on a 69 acre piece of land which both parties claim to own and in July this year their properties were destroyed living them with no places to call home.
Led by Mr. Omar Gona, Kadzo Thoya and Stephen Charo, the residents now want the national government to intervene after their efforts in court bore no fruit. Mr. Gona said that they have title deeds to their land hence the tycoon was using money to frustrate them.
