Kenyan GSU officer Peter Maina Gakau dies in Russia; family seeks repatriation

Three days after Russia distanced itself from enlisting Kenyans to participate in the special military operation in Ukraine, it has emerged that a general service unit officer, Peter Maina Gakau, had been lured into the Russian military. The family now wants the government to help in tracing the body of the officer, suspected to have been killed in the war.
