IEBC seeks KSh 63.9B for 2027 polls, including KSh 1.1B for meals

Members of parliament poked holes into what they termed as an extravagant 2027 election budget presented by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. The lawmakers were shocked by a request of over one billion shillings for meals alone in what lawmakers now say amounts to an expensive election. And as stephen letoo reports, IEBC says it requires 63.9 billion shillings for the 2027 general election.
